 Helping Children learn in two languages!
The basic tenet of bilingual education is to help children learn English at the same time they are developing a sound foundation in basic subjects. There is a demand for bilingual teachers nationwide, as well as here in southern Idaho.
This program is designed for any student who wishes to reach culturally and linguistically different children. Students who have a knowledge of Spanish and are interested in teaching are strongly encouraged to consider this program. However, students who do not speak Spanish will find ample opportunity to acquire proficiency in Spanish prior to the completion of their degree.
The first two years of the program will be done at the College of Southern Idaho and the final two years at Boise State University in Boise.
