Degree Steps & Curricula
 
Post-Secondary Certificate – Step 1
This is the initial step in the three-tiered career lattice. There is a prescribed curriculum for this certificate developed by the PTC and offered through all participating post-secondary institutions.

Associate of Applied Science Degree – Step 2
This second step in the career lattice includes 16 credits of general education with the remaining credits offered in the specialized area in which the paraeducator is seeking a degree.

Associate Degree – Step 3
This is the final step. Upon completion of the Associate of Applied Science Degree, the student can obtain the balance of credits from the educational core area resulting in an Associate of Arts or Science Degree.
